Dick 16th April 2016

I have so many good memories of my best friend for over 70 years. I may come back to this page several times. My and Sally's condolences to Lynn,Jay, spouses and families. Here is a guy who I never had a cross word with in our life time friendship. As working teenagers, he started it. We both delivered in the neighborhood. He groceries,me,dry cleaning. We would steal each others truck and hide it close by while one of us was in a customers house.Soon joined by another friend(Dick Parks). Was lots of fun, job still came first. Played a lot of golf as a late teenager with Billy and his B-in-law, Dick Wynd, almost every weekend in the summer, then topped that off with a trip to Buckeye Lake for 3.2 beer and dancing, except, Billy would not dance.Later. Billy talked me into joining the Army Reserves. We served together in the 759thAPU until he was drafted.Got me arrested at Ft Knox for driving into a restricted area as we arrived in his dad's 36 Chevy. So many funny and good memories. Both in each others weddings. Was struggling for work with a pregnant wife, and who got me a job at North American? Billy.Or King Bill as he referred to himself. That job turned into a lifetime career, thanks to Billy..Sally worked closely with Billy at NAA(Rockwell) and became good friends. Billy's great sense of humor was always a pleasure to be around.. Digressing to when his wonderful mother took me in as another son and constantly cooked for us.My job was to sit in his living room and let him practice his magic tricks on me.Over and over.Thankfully, that deceased significantly when Joann came into the picture.Their 63 years together was an example for all. Love her dearly. I guess that is enough for now.,we will miss King Bill every day. Dick and Sally Bethel
